Summary

Lindsay joined the Subject Centre in January 2010 as Project Officer for the HEFCE/Academy/JISC Organising Open Educational Resources (OOER) project. He has a background in bioscience research together with experience in teaching and supporting students, including those on a MBChB curriculum.

Current Projects

Institutional Research Data Management at Newcastle University (Role: Project Manager)

Towards a complete holistic plan and infrastructure for Research Data Management in the University, making data generated by research at the University both available and discoverable with effective curation throughout the full data lifecycle in consultation with the researchers who produce it.

Previous projects

Pathways for Open Resource Sharing through Convergence in Healthcare Education (Role: Project Manager)

Cross NHS-HE sector project, lobbying key stakeholders towards seamless access to learning resources by healthcare students in practice based training.

Substance misuse teaching and learning in the undegraduate medical curriculum (Role: Curriculum Co-ordinator)

Curriculum mapping and change implementation recommendations for an ideal set of substance misuse national learning outcomes within the undergraduate medical curriculum.

Organising open educational resources (Role: Project Officer)

Distilling existing good practice guidance to provide a risk assessment toolkitenabling navigation through patient consent, copyright, institutional policy and quality assurance issues when creating and sharing learning resources (such as through open educational resources).
