Calling computer science students to an app development day

WIN up to £900 at a 24hr Student App Development Day, 14-15 June, Newcastle

Elsevier need your help to create new applications to access their text book content online. They have sponsored the PublishOER 24hr Student App Development Day at a leading hotel in Newcastle on 14th-15th June where you could win a cash prize!

  • Work with Elsevier tech-heads
  • Meet other students and share knowledge
  • Develop new applications using text book content
  • Program in your language of choice
  • Mashup content and positively disrupt educational app development
  • Work in a team or alone
  • First Prize = £500 (cash)
  • 2 x runner-up prizes of £200 (cash)

The event is free to attend and includes overnight accommodation, food and lots of fun!

You will need to bring a portable with your favourite software set-up with you, and will be asked to sign a consent form.

Winners will be invited to licence their code to Elsevier for up to 5 years.

Places are limited so booking is essential and on a first come, first served basis.
