£100 million available for medical education

HEFCE and the Department of Health have announced that up to £100 million is to be made available to support around 750 academic clinical fellows, 400 clinical lecturers, and 200 "new blood" senior lectureships over the next 10 years. Medical schools are invited to make nominations inn annual rounds, starting in 2006-2007.
