4 day event - 24-27 Feb 2011
The International Conference on Prehypertension and Cardio Metabolic Syndrome
will focus on the public health impact, identification, etiology and pathogenesis of prehypertension as well as on intervention for preventing the adverse outcome of this prevalent condition.
During recent years we discuss whether borderline blood pressure levels require treatment. This new category is a continuum from prehypertension to hypertension and is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. It is well accepted that in specific subgroups with specific concomitant diseases blood pressure in the prehypertension range should be treated. This is field is not defined and necessitates further discussion with creation of consensus regarding the therapeutic approach to specific patient subgroups.
The conference will be composed of state of the art lectures, position papers and novel research on prehypertension and cardio metabolic risk.
The conference is aimed at experts in the fields of:
Hypertension, Diabetes, Dyslipidemia, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Cardio Metabolic Syndrome, Obesity, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Cardiology, Imaging ? Innovative & Routine Methods.
