1 day event - 22 Jun 2012 from 10:00 until 16:00

This workshop will demonstrate how collaborations between Glyndwr University, the North Wales clinical school and Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board encourage commitments to improving patient safety from a health care perspective.

The main focus of the workshop will be to demonstrate how simulation and its use of high fidelity technology can enhance the development of the technical and non-technical skills of the health care professional, thus improving communication between teams working with secondary care.

Other aims of the workshop include:

  • Raise awareness of the Saving Plus 1000 Lives plus programme in North Wales
  • Introduce the National Early Warning Score (NEWS)
  • Discuss the role of SBAR in practice
  • Demonstrate how simulation can facilitate a more inter professional approach to health care education.
