ESTIMATED CLOSE DATE - the Trust meets in June each year but the call is open and rolling.
The Trust has a Christian basis and is concerned with the development of body, mind and spirit, a just environment, and international goodwill. To this end it supports projects in religious, social, educational and medical fields. Mainly in the UK.
The Trust aims to promote and assist pioneering research activities or innovative, groundbreaking development projects with a view to making such work self-supporting. It emphasises prevention rather than alleviation of human suffering.
What do we mean by:
"innovative" : bring in novelties; make changes;
"pioneering" : to prepare road for main body; original; to open up;
"groundbreaking" : the first of its kind.
Grants are normally given in the form of a salary. The Trustees prefer to support innovative and imaginative people - often early in their research career. Applications should be submitted by those directly involved in the work--not development offices or paid fundraisers.
* Grants are normally limited to 2 or 3 years, but are sometimes extended.
* Applicants should be sure that any proposal fits the Trust's current priority areas.
* Small Grants are sometimes given to projects falling within the current priority areas. These grants are awarded throughout the year.
