The Mullard award

To honour an individual who has an outstanding academic record in any area of natural science, engineering or technology and whose work is currently making a contribution to national prosperity in the United Kingdom. The award is made annually by the Council of the Royal Society to honour an individual who has an outstanding academic record. The award will be presented at the Society's Anniversary Day, or on another suitable occasion. Nominations for the award are invited from all Fellows of the Society, research institutions and Industry. A silver gilt medal, a prize of £2000 and a travel/conference grant of up to £1500 (Estimated total funds: £3,500) Closing Date: 01 April 2010 Nominations are now being accepted. The closing date is 1st April 2010. Please see website for application procedures. Restrictions: The award is aimed at younger scientists, engineers and technologists.
