Northcote graduate scholarship

To enable students normally resident in the United Kingdom to undertake a higher degree at an Australian University for a period of up to three years.

The Northcote Graduate Scholarship scheme is administered by the Menzies Centre for Australian Studies, King's College London, on behalf of the Northcote Children's Emigration Foundation. There are no limitations as to the field of study. Successful candidates must make the outward journey within the first calendar year of the award being granted. Neither the Fund's Trustees nor King's College London can entertain providing successful candidates with funds over and above the research award or for more than three years.

The scholarship will provide economy class return air fares to Australia, payment of compulsory fees and charges at an Australian University and an inclusive allowance of A$20,000 (approx £9,490) per annum.

Applications for the next round will be accepted between 28 June 2010 and 27 August 2010. Applications must be supported by: A statement from the applicant on the nature of the proposed course; Two references from persons in a position to assess the academic potential and character of the candidate; A statement from the host institution in Australia; A statement demonstrating why the study must be undertaken in Australia and; A CV.
