The objective of the awards is to develop high-quality capacity and secure long-term sustainability and enhanced outcomes in research and teaching at senior lecturer level.
The Senior Clinical Lectureship is the highest award in the Clinical Academic Training Programme, and is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and jointly managed by HEFCE and the NIHR Trainees Coordinating Centre.
Comments: Individuals may be nominated for one award level only. The closing date for completed nominations is 1 pm on 3rd August 2010.
Restrictions: Nominees will:
• have current registration with the HPC and/or the NMC
• be employed by an English higher education institution, NHS, or other healthcare organisation
• hold a relevant PhD (research doctorate) or will have submitted their PhD at the time of application
• be committed to undertake postdoctoral research whilst continuing to develop their skills as a clinician
• demonstrate a role in, or contribution to, improving health or health care delivery.
