Project grants (Vascular Anaesthesia Society of Great Britain & Ireland (VASGBI))

Aim

The grant is intended to support all or part of a Research Project to be undertaken in Great Britain or Ireland in a subject related to vascular anaesthesia. The application must explain how the research is relevant to vascular anaesthesia.

Eligibility

The grant will be awarded in open competition across Great Britain and Ireland. Membership of VASGBI is not required. The research funded must have a clear benefit to the NHS and must take into account Department of Health and NHS priorities.

The support

The grant can be used to cover all or part of the costs of research projects in the field of vascular anaesthesia, up to a limit of £10,000. Owing to the limited funds available, we are not usually able to fund salaries, although each individual application will be considered on is own merits.

Report

If a grant is awarded the recipient commits to provide an annual report of the funded research over the term of the study. The report must be returned to the VASGBI grants officer. Failure to do so without due reason will result in cancellation of the grant. In addition, on completion of the project the researchers may be requested to present their work at the annual VASGBI meeting.
