New Researcher Awards 2011 (Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME))

The Association for the Study of Medical Education, which includes the promotion of excellence in medical education in its goals, invites members within seven years of graduation to submit a description of a piece of work, survey, research or innovation in which they have been directly involved, in the field of medical and healthcare education.

Projects can be an evaluation of an educational activity or intervention, a survey of learners or a more systematic project.

Submissions should be in typescript and be up to 3,500 words long, and include a summary.  Applicants are required to also include a statement as to the assistance or supervision provided relating to the work.

The first prize is £500 and the recipient will be invited to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held in Edinburgh 13-15 July 2011, to present their paper.  Expenses (conference fee, Annual Dinner and standard travel expenses) will be covered by the Association.  The runner up will have the conference fee and Annual Dinner paid by the Association.
