We are pleased to list the Joint miniprojects with Health Sciences & Practice 2010 successful applicants.
The MEDEV miniproject scheme has run since 2001, with over 70 projects supported/funded to date (see past funded projects for reports, etc.). In 2009 we linked up with the Health Sciences and Practice Subject Centre (HSaP) to offer some joined up aspects to our call.
Bidders could apply for up to £5,000 (or exceptionally £10,000 for a collaboration) per project. See past funded projects for an illustration of successful applications. There was a total pot of approximately £25,000 available.
Please note that all project proposals are bought to the attention of nominated primary contacts (NPCs).
The evaluation work issued under the call for expressions of interest has been commissioned and will be completed Oct 2011. Thank you to everyone who participated in the research.
This year's Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine (MEDEV) mini-project call was once again held in conjunction with the Health Sciences and Practice Subject Centre.
The joint call invited proposals under any of the following themes:
• Developing practice education for students
• Employability and employee learning
• Education for Sustainable Development
• External examining
• Interprofessional education
• Implications of a devolved United Kingdom
• Reward & Recognition
• Student engagement including the National Student Survey
We were particularly interested in applications which spanned three or four professions across the disciplines of the two subject centres, i.e. at least one from Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine and at least one from Nursing, Allied Health Professions, Public Health, Pharmacy and the Therapies.
