Introduction

A one-day conference organised by the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine.

Aims

To provide an opportunity to share and evaluate current effective practice and innovative thinking in the fields of ePortfolios, identity and personalised learning in healthcare education.

Activities

Keynote lectures, parallel sessions, posters and networking.

Target audience

We welcome anyone who contributes to undergraduate programmes in healthcare education, in workplace or educational contexts in the UK.

The Assembly Rooms, in the heart of the City Centre, is a grand Georgian building dating back to 1776 which has been lovingly restored to its former glory to become one of the premier conference venues in the North East of England.

Newcastle has excellent road, rail and air links with the rest of the UK.


  • By train it only takes 2hrs 45mins from London and 1hr 20mins from Edinburgh.

  • The A1(M) runs from the North to South and passes close by the city centre.

  • The main Intercity Central Station is within 250 yards where the nearest Metro Station is also situated.

  • Newcastle's International Airport is only a 15 minute drive away, and a Metro link can transport you directly from the Airport to the venue.
