Aims

To assist education practitioners to become increasingly skilled at using evidence to optimise student learning, shape their teaching, and in designing curricula and education policies.

Activities

The event will include a mixture of small group and plenary activities but the specific activities will be informed by the deliberations and findings of the first workshop

Facilitator background

Marilyn is Consultant to the Best Evidence Medical Education Collaboration with a major role in taking forward developments in evidence informed education practice and policy; from research review production to dissemination. Recent achievements are publication of BEME reviews in non-English languages, the introduction of BEME Rapid Reviews and User-friendly review spotlights. She has facilitated previous workshops for MEDEV on how critical appraisal of research studies is done for non-experimental research, especially in the field of educational evaluation, and the evaluation of interprofessional education.
