Introduction

There are an increasing number of higher education establishments offering veterinary nursing education. Traditionally training has been apprentice style, however more and more veterinary nurses are becoming qualified through an HE route. What challenges do the course providers face in providing such a vocational qualification?

Aims

The aim of this event is to bring together the veterinary nursing course providers to discuss and share best practice from recruitment to graduation. It will also allow various course providers to have input on the finalisation of the HE benchmarks for veterinary nursing.

Activities

The day will comprise of a number of discussion sessions during which we hope to share ideas and best practice in order to produce useful guidelines for prospective course providers.
