Introduction

A customised Gilly Salmon five week online course from All Things in Moderation hosted and subsidised by the Subject Centre. Cost of ?320+VAT per delegate.

Aims

Gilly Salmon's popular e-moderating course is offered to health care educators in order to facilitate a better understanding of the potential for e-Moderating in a clinical teaching environment. Participants will be able to take part in the e-tivities designed to promote understanding of the role of e-moderating, offering a chance to engage with peers who also work with clinical students. This course has run at least once before and a write up is available in 01.11 edition of our newsletter.

Activities

The online course is divided up into 5 sessions, each session relating to one stage in the 5-stage model. As a student in the course you will be expected to read the weekly assigned reading (from the book E-moderating) and take part in a number of online activities ? All Things in Moderation call them e-tivities.

You will need some commitment. At least 5 hours a week for 5 weeks. The course encourages you to reflect on your ideas about e-moderating and those of others as you go about your usual every day work or in downtime- travelling or in the bath!
