As the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine we regularly called for workshops. The scheme was designed to provide small amounts of funding to promote and disseminate effective learning and teaching activities in Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine.
MEDEV is no longer funding workshop proposals. Our last review dates were 3 December 2010 and 31 March 2011 and bidders could apply using our application form. For completeness we have maintained the information below.
The subject centre invited proposals to develop workshops (up to £500 each) for the medical, dental and veterinary medicine constituency.
This call was intended to be strategic with emphasis placed on specific topic areas (Appendix One). Our primary purpose was to:
There were no limits on the number of proposals that a single individual could make, and joint proposals from more than one subject or institution were encouraged.
Previous applicants were able to reapply, taking into account any comments from our reviewers.
Successful funding will be on condition that all results are made available to the subject centre for dissemination (see copyright statements below) and we may ask for minor alterations or clarification of plans from successful applicants.
MEDEV would also also continue to attempt to identify other potential educational research funding for all proposers in the future.
Potential proposers were encouraged to contact MEDEV staff to discuss the planned workshop in order to ensure that its suitability was maximised.
