HEFCE publishes its response to letter from the Secretary of State

HEFCE has published a circular letter setting out the decisions they have made in response to yesterday?s letter from the Secretary of State. Institutions will receive a hard copy of this letter in the next few days, but because of the high level of interest we have already made it available on our web-site: ?Higher education funding for academic years 2009-10 and 2010-11 including new student entrants? (HEFCE Circular letter 14/2010).

Any enquiries about this letter should be made to institutional teams.

HEFCE have also published the following news items in relation to this letter:

?Student places and funding for 2010-11?
?Funding more students?, which includes a list of successful bids for extra student places under the University Modernisation Fund and a list of institutions awarded funding to shift the balance of their provision towards strategically important and vulnerable subjects.
