The UK Healthcare Education Advisory Committee (UKHEAC) is seeking to recruit new members with the right expertise and vision to contribute to the development of healthcare education.
HEFCE wishes to make several new appointments to the UKHEAC this year, and is particularly keen to appoint those with knowledge of either the medical, dental or primary care sectors in England.
Membership of the committee offers an opportunity to contribute to healthcare education at a critical time in its development. Members will need to commit time both to reading background papers and to contributing to three meetings a year. The remaining 2011 meetings will take place on 17 June and 23 November.
These positions are unpaid, fixed-term appointments but HEFCE can pay for expenses in attending the meetings.
Applicants should e-mail their CVs to a.taylor@hefce.ac.uk by 0000 on Wednesday 27 April 2011.
HEFCE is interested in appointing members not only from education, but from the professions and is keen to promote diversity within membership of the committee.
Further details on the UKHEAC, along with minutes from previous meetings are available at http://www.hefce.ac.uk/aboutus/board/committees/medical/
