Open educational resources (OER): The MEDEV OOER project
MEDEV OER ProjectA proposal to the HEFCE/Academy/JISC Open Educational Resources - call for projects was submitted by MEDEV on behalf of a wide range of partners in the UK. The project, entitled Organising Open Educational Resources (OOER) was funded under the Subject Strand, which is managed by the Higher Education Academy. For a full list of funded projects please visit the Higher Education Academy website, or the JISC website. There is further background information available about the development of the bid.
OOER Online Learning Resource Survey As part of this project we have created a survey to ask how you search for learning resources online, the sources you use, and how you evaluate the results you find. We are defining learning resources in the broadest sense, any online resource that can be used to support learning. Your response to this survey will be anonymous but the results will provide invaluable evidence to help inform those organising open educational resource collections, and ultimately improve the way we find and use shared learning resources. Please encourage as many colleagues as possible to complete this short survey which can be found at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/D3TPRVKFor more information please visit the survey page. An OOER centred presentation was given recently at a JISC workshop on reusing medical images in learning and teaching, and the slides are available via Slideshare. Jisc Workshop Nov 09 Sh Medev
