There are a huge number of projects underway which are researching new approaches to learning and teaching in medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine in the United Kingdom. Many will report on their progress in 01

Subject centre projects

The Academy has funded subject centres to work on three projects which are concerned with:

  • TRIPLE: Inter-Professional Education
  • ETHICS: Ethics Teaching Highlighted in Contextualised Scenarios
  • mhhe: Mental Health in Higher Education Teaching

Miniprojects

miniprojects - we have funded over 70 miniprojects since 2001. There is a full list of projects together with progress reports where available. Any further miniproject funding schemes are announced via our news alert services and via this website.

JISC projects including X4L

JISC projects - The JISC has funded many programmes and projects, two recent programmes include FAIR and X4L. Under these programmes projects of interest include:

HEFCE projects

Improving provision for disabled students including:

  • DIVERSE: Disability in Veterinary Education - Resources for Sustainable Enhancement (which includes work reaching out to other professions including medicine and dentistry)
  • Accessibility on online learning in specific subject areas
