Project - 4E CETL for Clinical and Communication Skills

Type: CETL

Sub-type: None

Purpose: Educational Development

Details: This collaboration between two institutions in an established strategic alliance, will enhance communication and clinical skills in students from five healthcare disciplines. It has grown from a shared clinical skills facility where staff are recognised nationally and internationally for groundbreaking work in helping students acquire and continuously improve professional practice skills. It will now extend beyond this, offering new opportunities for students to learn and practise in a safe environment at their own pace. Rigorous, fair assessment and stronger links with the NHS, supported by the development of the mobile ‘Skills Bus’ will be additional benefits. The students' experience will encourage lifelong learning skills and reflection in practice, preparing them for careers as tomorrow's health care professionals. Tel 020 7040 5750, m.j.nicol@city.ac.uk. The Deputy Director is actively involved and the primary contact, and on the relevant Management/Advisory Board.

Estimated end date: 2010
